I love making clothes. I'm never happier than when I'm bent over my sewing machine. And I'm good at it too. Good enough that people will actually pay me to do it. So, the question is: why did I spend so much time relying solely on my 9 to 5 as an income source? The answer: I didn't value my gift, so I thought no one else would either.
Everyone has a gift, a talent, something they're really good at. Maybe you're an amazing portrait painter; maybe you build intricately designed furniture for doll's houses; maybe you stream Call of Duty for the amusement of 10 year old boys. Whatever your gift is, you can be sure someone will pay to use or experience it. Don't wait years to realize that your talents are valuable. Set up a website, put your gift on show and let the world show you its true value.
And remember: be free, be fresh, be fashionable, but always be you.

This is beautifully written, Las!
Very inspiring. Sometimes I too doubt my talent because I assume people won’t appreciate it
